Photography By Design
Photo organization workshop
Photography by Design is about unlearning photography, and learning creativity. The difference between good and great photography is not technical proficiency but about how creative you can be with what you know.
We'll learn about new and old photography techniques to get you thinking outside the box. You'll learn to think, feel and see photographically no matter where you are or what you are photographing. You'll learn to carefully and thoughtfully craft every image you take, what to look for, what to add and what to leave out. You'll begin to see and understand the art of photography like never before. |

Photography by Design is an English-speaking photography workshop open to all photographic levels. It focuses less on the technical and more on the creative side of photography.
Each lesson consists of three parts
This course is built on the principal of Active learning rather than Passive learning.
Photography by Design is about getting out into the world and learning photographic skills actively, by dealing with on the fly, unexpected, real world challenges.
Each lesson consists of three parts
- A topic - A new photo technique or subject to be discussed and practiced during the class
- A location - a new themed walk or a location to visit
- A challenge - designed to help you think outside the box, stretch your creativity and develop your photographic eye
This course is built on the principal of Active learning rather than Passive learning.
- Passive learning is the traditional sit in a class, take notes, and be tested on what you remember.
- Active learning is just the opposite, it's about trial and error, deductive and investigative learning.
Photography by Design is about getting out into the world and learning photographic skills actively, by dealing with on the fly, unexpected, real world challenges.
Whatever your reason, your motivation, Photography By Design will fill your needs. This course offers interesting, creative and fun lessons while walking and discovering Paris. Built on the principal of Active learning rather than Passive learning. Studies show that active learning has a higher success rate of actually acquiring long term skills and results. Where as Passive learning is best for short term results, like an upcoming test.
Learning by doing is how photography is absorbed; before you learn about technique, gear, theory - anything - this is where all great photographers start. Taking photos and analyzing them; this is how you’ll discover your style and your voice. A photograph is worth a thousand words; so what do you have to say? It is recommended that you sign up for classes early, as they tend to fill up fast. Workshops are one month long, meeting once a week for 3 hours. 5 Participants max per session. After the first meetining refunds are not avalible but, may be used for a future workshop.
